ClodKnocker's Web Snack is a browser extension for Firefox that helps you see what is tracking your browsing activity. It provides three tools: a Network Monitor that identifies tracker requests in real time, a Breach Sniffer that checks whether your email address has appeared in known data breaches, and a Link Sniffer that analyzes URLs for suspicious characteristics.
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the extension's functionality. We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.
The Network Monitor observes outgoing browser requests and compares hostnames against a list of known tracker domains that is built into the extension. All processing happens locally on your device. No browsing data, request data, or tracker detection results are sent to LIT or any third party. We do not have access to your browsing activity.
When you use Breach Sniffer, the email address you enter is sent to a Cloudflare Worker proxy operated by LIT, which forwards the request to the Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) API to check for known data breaches. The Cloudflare Worker does not log or store your email address. The HIBP API is a third-party service operated by Troy Hunt; its privacy policy is available at haveibeenpwned.com. We do not retain your email address after the check is complete.
When you use Link Sniffer, the URL you paste is analyzed entirely on your device using local JavaScript. No URL data is sent to LIT or any third party.
The extension stores one value in your browser's local storage: whether you have dismissed the welcome screen (a single true/false value). No personal information is stored locally or remotely.
The extension uses one third-party service: the Have I Been Pwned API, accessed through our Cloudflare Worker proxy, exclusively for the Breach Sniffer feature. This is the only external network request the extension makes. No other third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking tools are used.
The extension contains no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no remote configuration. We do not track how you use the extension.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third party for any purpose. The only data transmitted externally is the email address you voluntarily enter into Breach Sniffer, which is sent to HIBP as described above.
The extension is suitable for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the extension, please contact us at littoralsupport@protonmail.com.
Because we do not collect or store personal data (beyond the momentary processing of an email address during a Breach Sniffer check, which is not retained), there is no stored personal data to access, correct, or delete. We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at littoraltech.com/privacy-policy.html with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
